EXPEDITION SUMMARY

Darwin to Nhulunbuy over 13 days via Katherine Gorge, traversing the Arnhem Highway on our way to Nhulunbuy. This is Aboriginal Land and visitor numbers are restricted, so it’s a real privileged journey where we take care of all the necessary permits etc. We’ll camp in some amazingly remote locations and do our best to experience the incredible ancient cultures of the land owners.

A private charter flight will take us to Dhipirri Barra and Sports Fishing Lodge, a fantastic opportunity to take in the aerial magnificence of Arnhem Land. The fishing charter is included in this Expedition, with two full charters scheduled over one and a half days chasing incredible Top End species. It’s a helluva long way to come so we might as well spend a bit of time poking around Nhulunbuy. You can then choose to either schedule a commercial flight to Darwin [own arrangements] or stay a little longer, as we retrace our footsteps for a five day trek back to Darwin, enjoying one last stop at Litchfield National Park.

EXPEDITION OVERVIEW

Hadagutful will take you through this part of Australia, where you will see some of the most expansive parts of the Australian Top End.

No camping experience is necessary, just a desire to experience camp life under the stars on an Overland adventure.

A medium level of fitness will be required together with a willingness to jump in and lend a hand.

The best time to visit this region of Australia is during the Dry Season.

This is not a ‘Boys Only Adventure’. Couples and singles are welcome.

WHAT’S EXPECTED

A willingness to sleep in a swag [subject to passenger configuration]

A willingness to have a ‘hands on’ experience

Assist with vehicle recoveries when required (ours or other people’s)

You can choose to fly out from Nhulunbuy [own arrangements] on Day 13.

Alternatively travel for 5 days back to Darwin [extra rate applies]. This is a ‘get there’ type of mission but will also take in a stop at Litchfield National Park before ending in Darwin.
